Disney California Adventure Park

Disney California Adventure Park, also known as DCA, is a theme park at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. It was built to be a West Coast version of the EPCOT Center.

The park features a variety of attractions, including Cars Land and Tinseltown. You can also catch a show at World of Color and meet your favorite Marvel heroes at Avengers Campus. You’ll be glad you read this!

Marvel Super Heroes

Marvel Super Heroes are taking over the former it’s tough to be a bug theater building and adding an interactive Spider-Man attraction called WEB SLINGERS. The ride lets you flick your wrists to shoot webs at out-of-control Spider-Bots.

The area also includes a new food location Pym Test Kitchen Featuring Impossible and Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission BREAKOUT! ride where guests help rescue Star-Lord, Gamora, Rocket, Drax, and Groot from Taneleer Tivan’s collection.

Then there’s a new nighttime show, World of Color – ONE. It supposedly celebrates Walt Disney’s storytelling legacy by showing how an action can create ripples that transform the world.

Cars Land

Cars Land is the newest section of Disney California Adventure and features Pixar’s iconic car characters. This colorful high-octane land is intricately detailed with rocky Southwest landscaping and Route 66 businesses like Mater’s Junkyard, Sally’s Cozy Cone Motel, and Flo’s V8 Cafe.

Kids will love meeting their favorite four-wheeled friends. These animatronic cars have photo ops in front of the Cozy Cone Motel throughout the day, and Lightning McQueen and Mater also have meet-and-greets during select times for Halloween (Haul-O-Ween) and Christmas (Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree and Mater’s Jingle Jamboree). Cars Land is a must-see! More places to also visit by clicking here.

Tinseltown

Struggling actor Steven Toast (Matt Berry) leaves London for Tinseltown in hopes of reviving his career. He soon discovers that he is not cut out for Hollywood’s image-conscious world.

Tinseltown is home to a collection of themed kiddie rides modeled after the movie A Bug’s Life. It also houses Flik’s Fun Fair, a theater-in-the-round attraction accessed via an underground tunnel based on a Disney*Pixar film.

Get here early to catch the show. Cast members start letting people in about thirty minutes before the park opens.

Paradise Gardens Park

In this reimagined area that replaced Paradise Pier, guests enter through a private portal and can enjoy rides like Goofy’s Sky School (FASTPASS recommended) and Mickey’s Fun Wheel (15 on the map). There are also food options including Corn Dog Castle and Seaside Souvenirs.

The award-winning nighttime spectacular World of Color plays daily, blending your favorite Disney music with enormous water screens, fountains, lasers, and perfectly timed pyrotechnics. The entertainment schedule changes seasonally.

Buena Vista Street

The first area guests experience upon entering Disney California Adventure Park, Buena Vista Street is a salute to 1920s Los Angeles as it might have looked to Walt Disney when he arrived in the city. Shop, dine, and enjoy period streetmosphere entertainment here.

The Red Car Trolleys—recreations of Pacific Electric’s iconic trolley cars—transport Guests from here to Hollywood Land and the rest of the park. Don’t miss meeting Oswald the Lucky Rabbit at his gas station, either!

Hollywood Land

The second park of the Disneyland Resort opened on February 8, 2001. It was originally called Disney California Adventure and has since been shortened to DCA.

Step into a world of Hollywood glamour. Take in a show or go on the ride that takes you behind the scenes of special effects.

Experience the 1930s Golden Age in this land inspired by movie studio backlots. Walk along the iconic Hollywood Boulevard, where you can find shops and restaurants. Or, visit the Disney Animation Building to see an amazing show that features a live performance by Frozen’s Elsa and Anna.

Avengers Campus

Marvel fans have waited years for their favorite superheroes to get their own home in the Disney parks. Avengers Campus opened June 4, 2021, and expands on the Guardians of the Galaxy Mission: Breakout drop-tower ride that already existed in the area.

Iron Man, Captain Marvel, Okoye, and the Dora Milaje are among the heroes you’ll meet in Avengers Campus. You can even sling webs with Spider-Man using new WEB Suppliers’ interactive wristbands. Other fun experiences include a visit to Ancient Sanctum for a spellbinding show by Doctor Strange.

World of Color

World of Color is a nighttime show that celebrates Disney’s storytelling legacy. Using innovative projection technology on water screens it brings to life iconic moments from your favorite films like Simba’s majestic roar, Elsa’s ethereal ice magic, and more!
