Tri-City Park is a great place to go for a calm stroll and some casual exercise on a nice Southern California day. The paved, less than a-mile path is kid and dog-friendly.

The park is a 40-acre protected area, located in Placentia and bordering Fullerton. It features a lake and three reservable picnic shelters. Activities include bicycling and walking the paved trails, model sail boating, fishing, and playgrounds. Read on for some ideas.

1. Amenities

Residents in Zone A, B, and C can purchase two types of parking permits at the Placentia Police Department. They are also able to rent a guest-only permit from the County.

The 40-acre Tri-City Park is bordered by the cities of Fullerton, Placentia, and Brea. The park includes a lake and three reservable picnic shelters. Guests can enjoy bicycling and walking the paved trails, model sail boating, fishing, and playgrounds.

The 8-acre lake is home to migratory waterfowl, and visitors may fish for catfish or bluegill with a California fishing license. Guests are encouraged to also launch model radio-controlled sailboats. The park also offers a playground for children, with a baby bucket swing and regular slides. The park is free to visit and closes at dusk.

4. Pets Accepted

Located off N Kraemer Blvd, this pawsome 40-acre park includes a lake and three reservable picnic shelters. The park also offers fishing and model sail boating in the 8-acre lake, which is home to many annual migratory waterfowl.

5. Lease Options

Placentia has a close-knit community that comes together for community events like the Heritage Festival and Tamale Festival. The city is also home to a number of local breweries and parks. Tri-City Park offers plenty of outdoor recreation space, and the Muckenthaler Cultural Center is a great spot for art lovers.

Orange County is planning a new senior and community center in Placentia. The county board has approved a 75-year lease free of charge with the city, which will be responsible for construction and operating costs. The city will have an option to buy the park at the end of the lease.
